Symphonic Series

Experience a powerful journey of hope, virtuosity, and grandeur in a concert that celebrates bold musical promises and sweeping landscapes. The evening opens with American Promise and “Prairie Dawn” by Karen LeFrak, a luminous contemporary work that evokes the vast horizons and quiet optimism of the American spirit. Award-winning violinist Benjamin Beilman then takes center stage in Sibelius’s Violin Concerto in D minor, a gripping masterpiece of lyricism and fiery intensity. The program culminates in Saint-Saëns’s monumental “Organ Symphony” an awe-inspiring fusion of symphonic power and majestic sonorities that rises to a thrilling, unforgettable finale.

All ticket holders will enjoy an educational pre-concert talk from VSO's Greg Scholl and VSO Music Director and Conductor Salvador Brotons an hour before each performance, 6 p.m. on Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays.
