Community Outreach Concerts
The VSO presents solo and small ensemble performances at senior and adult living communities, bringing live music directly into residential settings. These concerts are designed not only to provide an enjoyable cultural experience, but also to encourage connection and social engagement among residents, fostering a sense of community through shared musical experiences.
Vet Tix
VSO USA partners with Vet Tix to help ensure that veterans, active-duty service members, and first responders can access free tickets to a wide range of events in the spirit of “Give Something to Those Who Gave.” Guided by Vet Tix’s mission to reduce stress, strengthen family bonds, build lifelong memories, and encourage continued engagement with local communities and American life, the program helps honor military service by providing positive family and life experiences during and after service. Vet Tix serves all branches of currently serving military and veterans, including the immediate family of troops killed in action, by securing donated tickets to sporting events, concerts, performing arts, and educational and family activities nationwide.
Pre-Concert Talks
Prior to each symphonic concert, the VSO offers a 30-minute educational pre-concert talk led by a VSO musician and/or Maestro Salvador Brotons. These engaging sessions explore the history and context of the evening’s program and provide an opportunity for audience members to ask questions and gain deeper insight into the music they are about to hear.
Pre-concert talks are held one hour before each performance, beginning at 6:00 pm for Saturday concerts and 2:00 pm for Sunday concerts.
